What are my family’s favorite online education resources for homeschooling?

There are many *huge* lists of educational resources for families floating around. Honestly, it’s a little overwhelming. But we’ve been homeschooling for several years now and we have a few favorites that we keep coming back to.

Here is my SHORT LIST.

All of these resources are free (or at the very least, have a free trial.)

• PBS LearningMedia – free curated, standards-aligned videos, interactives, lesson plans, and more.
• Education.com – printable worksheets (first few are free), lesson plans, interactive games (grades K-5)
• Khan Academy – free courses, lessons and practice
• Khan Academy Kids – education app for ages 2-7
• TED Ed – engaging educational videos
• National Geographic Kids – games, videos and more
• Duolingo – learn a new language (web or app)
• Mystery Science – open-and-go science lessons
• Red Ted Art – arts and crafts for little ones
• Scholastic Learn at Home – day-by-day projects to keep kids reading, thinking and growing
• King County Library System resources (Seattle-area)
• Google Arts & Culture – feature content from over 1,200 museums and archives
• Bedtime Math – help families introduce math as a fun part of their daily routine
