I’ve always seen February as the month for pink and red. Winter marches on but there are subtle signs that spring is on the way. In the Pacific Northwest, there is usually a small threat of snow but it’s mostly gray this time of year. Other themes in February are Black History Month, Presidents’ Day

Happy New Year! The holiday decorations are down — it’s the season of renewal and blank canvases. I admit that I still get a little melancholy around this time of year (the lack of sunlight doesn’t help.) But it doesn’t last long. To help inspire you this month, here’s a list of ideas for January.

Summer, you might think, is a break from education for us. It’s not really. We tend to go lighter on curriculum but the learning never stops. I have a bunch of activities planned from strawberry picking and fishing to festivals, tea time and field trips. We have our first official dance recital coming up which
