Here are two easy crafts we did this year to mark the Easter holiday.
Recycled cardboard Easter banner:
I cut egg shapes out of a cardboard box destined for the recycling bin, wrote the letters “H-A-P-P-Y-E-A-S-T-E-R” plus patterns for Easter eggs on the cutouts.
I turned the kids loose with kid-friendly pastels.
Tip: wear smocks and keep a paper towel handy for wiping off hands (it can get a little messy)
The saturated color stood out on the brown surface of the cardboard. They also had fun blending colors with their fingers and paint brushes. We’ll string up the letters on some twine for a festive decoration.
Recycled cardboard bunny cutouts; spring sign
I cut up another cardboard box into bunny shapes plus a simple sign.
